Jane Austen’s 231st
birthday celebration was held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Harbor
Court Hotel in Baltimore. The event included a lovely luncheon in the
Brightons Restaurant followed by Christmas Gaieties in The Westminster
Room. Members of the Baltimore Reading/Study Group read Christmas-related
passages from Jane Austen’s letters and novels.
