The December Birthday Party was held on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Harbor Court Hotel. The Birthday Party included a luncheon at Brightons, followed by: My Friend, Jane Austen by Alice Steinbach. Alice Steinbach, author of Without Reservations and Educating Alice, has taught journalism and writing at Princeton University, Washington and Lee University, and Loyola College. Her work at The Baltimore Sun was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for feature writing. She has almost finished her first novel, Before Paris.
