PHOTO GALLERY The Summer Meeting was held on July 19, 2003 at Riversdale House Museum located in Riverdale Park, Maryland. The manor house, a national historic landmark, was built between 1801 and 1807. Henri Stier, a Flemish aristocrat who fled from the political turmoil in Europe, began the construction. The house was completed by Henri Stier's daughter Rosalie and son-in-law George Calvert, grandson of the fifth Lord Baltimore. Following the discovery of Rosalie Calvert's letters (the basis for the book Mistress of Riversdale), the decision was made to restore the house to its appearance during the period of Rosalie and George Calvert's occupancy, 1801-1838. The summer meeting included an elegant afternoon tea, highlighted by costumed actors, who portrayed members of the Calvert family, and a house tour. Members were also treated to a talk from Margaret Callcott, editor of Mistress of Riversdale, as well as an opportunity for her to sign copies of the book.
