7/19/2003 Riversdale Mansion Margaret Callcott, editor of Mistress of Riversdale An afternoon tea followed by a house tour of Riversdale Mansion. Members were also treated to a talk from Margaret Callcott, editor of Mistress of Riversdale.
12/7/2002 Harbor Court Hotel Dr. Carol Pippen Dr. Carol Pippen discussed "Jane Austen's Daughters." Followed by a birthday tea in the Brightons Tea Room.
7/27/2002 Julia Rogers Library, Goucher College Nancy Magnuson Conducted a brief business meeting. Visited the Rare Book Room, which houses one of the world's finest collections of material by and about Jane Austen and her times, The Henry and Alberta Hirshheimer Burke Collection.
12/1/2001 Harbor Ct. Hotel Concert by The Canterbury Ringers The Canterbury Ringers presented songs from Jane Austen's time using English handbell ringing techniques. A birthday tea followed the program.

2/17/2001 Harbor Ct. Hotel Laurie Kaplan, Rena Kelly, and Nancy Magnuson A belated birthday party for Jane Austen's 225th birthday. Featured: "Jane Austen in Baltimore: Highlights from the Past Twenty Years". Followed by an elegant birthday tea.  
7/15/2000 Evergreen House   Tour of Historic Evergreen House followed by Tea in the Far East Room.
12/11/1999 Harbor Ct. Hotel Polly Bart Featured: "Town and Country in Jane Austen's Novels." Polly Bart analyzed how Jane Austen uses rural and urban settings as metaphor for development of character and human relationships. Followed by an elegant birthday tea.  
7/17/1999 Julia Rogers Library, Goucher College   An informal meeting with afternoon tea. Included a viewing of Wishbone's version of Pride and Prejudice.

7/18/1998 Hampton National Historic Site   Luncheon at Hampton followed by a tour of the House and Gardens.
12/6/1997 Harbor Ct. Hotel Professor Lynn Johnson, Towson University Professor Lynn Johnson of Towson University discussed the preception of nature and the moral dimension of landscape in Jane's novels. Followed by a Birthday Tea served in Brightons.  
7/19/1997 Goucher College's Alumnae and Alumni House Evelyn Schroedl Featured "The Nicest Cold Luncheon in the World" and "Quite an Old Set: The China on Jane's Table." Evelyn Schroedl presented a talk and slides on the porcelain of Jane's era. Followed by a luncheon.  
12/7/1996 Harbor Ct. Hotel Luisa Ribeiro Featured "The Cinematic Jane" an informal discussion on the recent film adaptations of Emma, P&P, S&S, and Persuasions. Followed by a Birthday Tea.
7/27/1996 The Johns Hopkins Club Sandra Levy Featured celebrated Maryland cooking teacher and JASNA member, Sandra Levy, who talked about food and dining with Jane and her contemporaries. Lunch included a choice of "The Longbourn Lunch" or "The Pemberley Platter".

Mark Turner
Nancy Hall, head of materials management for Anne Arundel Co. Public Library, gave one woman's view of Jane and her relevance to today and beyond. Mark Turner demonstrated Jane's pages on the Internet. Followed by a birthday tea.  
12/3/1994 Harbor Ct. Hotel Helen Chappell Featured "If Jane Austen lived in Oysterback" by Helen Chappell, author of The Oysterback Tales. Followed by a birthday tea.  
9/18/1994 Julia Rogers Library, Goucher College   A private viewing of the BBC production release of Emma (1993). Includes an intermission, tea and cookies provided.  
12/4/1993 Harbor Ct. Hotel Professor Laurie Kaplan Featured "Accidents in Persuasions: What If...?" Followed by a birthday tea.  
11/8/1992 Goucher College in the Assembly Room at Merrick Hall Choregraphie Antique and Musica Antiqua "Delightful Diversions: Dance and Music of Jane Austen's Time." Refreshments included an elegant birthday tea.
12/14/1991 Goucher College, Sports and Recreation Center Mark Turner Mark Turner entertained with stymifying rhyming riddles. Also informal participation in period games.
5/18/1991 Johns Hopkins University, The Merrick Bar Virginia Glasgow Koste, award winning author and actress "Jane, Plain: A Fancy" A One-Woman, One-Act Play.  
12/1/1990 Johns Hopkins Club, Eisenhower Room Dr. Jeffrey Myers, Asst. Professor of English, Goucher College "The Politics of Metadrama: Shakespeare at Mansfield Park" presented by Dr. Jeffrey Myers. Luncheon followed.
12/2/1989 Johns Hopkins University Club John Krill, Paper Conservator at the Winterthur Museum "Paper's Presence in Jane Austen's Mansfield Park". An understanding of Jane's references to paper, brings about a better understanding of English Life in the 1800's. Luncheon followed.  
4/2/1989 Julia Rogers Library, Goucher College   Private viewing of the BBC's production of Mansfield Park.  
12/4/1988 Towson State University, University Union Patricia Kleeberger, Librarian and Art History Instructor "The little bit (two inches wide) of Ivory on which I work with so fine a Brush": Miniature Painting as a Reflection of Daily Life in Jane Austen's England. Birthday tea followed.  
1/17/1988 Julia Rogers Library, Goucher College Henry Burke, Nancy Magnuson, Sarah Jones, Barbara Simons, Susan Wiesner Bader Small group tours of the Rare Book Room, home of the Alberta H. Burke Jane Austen Collection. Demonstration of dances from J.A.'s time by the Goucher College Historical Dance Group. Speakers on the diverse aspects of the Alberta H. Burke Collection. Speaker on dance in Jane's time. Followed by an English tea.   
5/18/1985 Evergreen House and Theatre Paula Schwartz and Neil Moyer "Persuasion" -- concert version by Paula Schwartz and Neil Moyer. The evening included dinner.
